Denver SEO Market Report: What 3.8 Million Search Impressions Reveal
Firestarter SEO analyzed 3,808,007 Google Search impressions, 115,018 website sessions, 103,541 users and tracked inbound calls to better understand how businesses in Denver search for SEO services, how demand changes throughout the year, and how emerging platforms such as AI search are beginning to influence lead generation.
The analysis covers June 2025 through June 2026 and combines first-party data from Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4 and CallRail. The findings provide a data-driven look at Denver SEO search behavior, local search visibility, seasonal patterns and the early emergence of AI-referred inquiries.
Important context: The 3.8 million impressions analyzed in this study represent Firestarter SEO’s first-party search footprint. They should not be interpreted as the total search volume or total market demand for SEO services across Denver.
Denver SEO Market at a Glance
- 3,808,007 Google Search impressions were analyzed over the 365-day study period.
- 2,056 organic search clicks were recorded in Google Search Console.
- 115,018 website sessions and 103,541 users were recorded in GA4.
- 530,907 impressions were recorded in July 2025, the highest monthly total identified in the dataset.
- 96,130 impressions came from three high-intent Denver SEO queries: “denver seo,” “denver seo company” and “denver seo agency.”
- 46% of tracked inbound calls were attributed to Google Business Profile / Google My Business.
- 0.6% of tracked inquiries were attributed to SearchGPT, providing an early indication that AI search platforms are beginning to generate measurable leads.
“Denver SEO” Remains a High-Demand Commercial Search
Search behavior around Denver SEO services remains substantial. Three of the most commercially relevant queries generated a combined 96,130 impressions during the study period.
- denver seo: 42,013 impressions
- denver seo company: 30,922 impressions
- denver seo agency: 23,195 impressions

The data also shows an important distinction between search visibility and search engagement. The primary branded query recorded a 23.4% click-through rate at an average position of 2.1, while high-volume non-branded searches such as “denver seo company” and “denver seo agency” produced click-through rates below 0.1%.
That gap demonstrates why rankings alone do not tell the entire story. A business can appear in search results for valuable commercial queries without capturing a proportional share of clicks. Brand recognition, SERP features, local results, competing listings and the way searchers evaluate providers can all influence whether visibility turns into website traffic.
Google Maps Plays an Outsized Role in Generating SEO Leads
One of the strongest findings in the study was the role of Google’s local search ecosystem in generating inbound inquiries.
Google Business Profile / Google My Business accounted for 46% of tracked inbound calls during the study period. By comparison, Google Organic accounted for 12%, Google Ads for 17%, and direct traffic for 18%.

The finding reinforces the importance of treating local SEO and Google Maps visibility as core lead-generation channels rather than secondary components of an organic search strategy.
For companies serving a defined geographic market, the traditional organic results are only one part of the search landscape. Google Business Profile visibility, Map Pack placement, reviews, proximity, local relevance and other local signals can have a direct relationship with inbound phone activity.
AI Search Is Beginning to Generate Measurable Inquiries
Traditional Google search remains the dominant discovery channel in the dataset, but AI-powered search platforms have begun to appear in lead attribution.
SearchGPT accounted for approximately 0.6% of tracked inquiries during the study period.
That percentage is still small compared with Google Search, Google Maps and direct traffic. However, the presence of attributable inquiries is significant because it demonstrates that AI search is no longer purely a visibility or awareness channel. It is beginning to participate directly in the customer acquisition journey.
For SEO strategies, this creates an additional visibility layer. Businesses increasingly need to consider not only where they rank in Google, but also whether platforms such as ChatGPT and other AI-powered search experiences can understand, reference and recommend their brands accurately.
Brand Recognition Changes Search Engagement
One of the clearest engagement differences in the dataset appeared between branded and non-branded searches.
The primary branded query achieved a 23.4% click-through rate while maintaining an average position of 2.1. In contrast, some of the highest-volume non-branded Denver SEO terms generated CTRs below 0.1%.
This suggests that search performance should not be evaluated solely through keyword rankings. Searchers who already recognize a company may behave very differently from users comparing unfamiliar providers for the first time.
For competitive commercial searches, visibility creates the opportunity to be considered. Brand authority, reputation, reviews, messaging and SERP presentation can influence what happens after that visibility is achieved.
Denver SEO Search Demand Shows Seasonal Patterns
Search impressions changed considerably throughout the study period. July 2025 generated 530,907 impressions, the highest monthly total identified in the report, followed by 500,222 impressions in August 2025.
By comparison, April 2026 recorded 198,102 impressions and May 2026 recorded 170,070 impressions. June 2026 contained only a partial month of data and recorded 41,992 impressions, so it should not be compared directly with complete months.
Monthly impression totals explicitly reported in the study. June 2026 represents a partial month. Months without an explicitly reported total are not estimated in the graphic.
The variation suggests that SEO demand and search visibility should be evaluated over longer time periods rather than through isolated month-to-month comparisons. Seasonal changes, search behavior, SERP changes, ranking movement and broader market conditions can all affect monthly impression totals.
High Search Volume Does Not Always Mean High Local Visibility
The dataset also identified a broader search opportunity around local SEO services. The query “local seo services” generated 110,961 impressions but only six clicks, with an average position of 44 and a reported CTR of approximately 0.005%.
This query should not be interpreted as 110,961 Denver-specific searches. It is a broader query represented within Firestarter SEO’s Search Console footprint. Nevertheless, it illustrates the difference between being eligible to appear for a large search category and having enough visibility to capture meaningful traffic from it.
For SEO companies and their clients, this is an important distinction. Impression growth can reveal expanding topical relevance well before rankings and clicks reach commercially meaningful levels.
What the Data Means for Businesses Investing in SEO
Several practical conclusions emerge from the 12-month dataset.
1. Local Visibility Deserves Its Own Strategy.
With Google Business Profile responsible for 46% of tracked inbound calls, Maps and local search visibility can play a major role in lead generation for geographically focused businesses.
2. Rankings and Traffic Are Not the Same Thing.
High impression counts on competitive queries do not automatically translate into clicks. Rankings, SERP layout, brand familiarity, reviews and search intent all influence engagement.
3. Branded Demand Matters.
The significant CTR difference between branded and non-branded queries demonstrates the value of building recognition beyond simply appearing for a keyword.
4. AI Visibility Is Becoming Measurable.
SearchGPT represented only 0.6% of tracked inquiries, but the fact that AI-referred leads can already be identified suggests that AI search visibility should increasingly be measured alongside traditional organic and local search performance.
5. SEO Performance Should Be Evaluated Over Longer Periods.
The differences between peak and lower-volume months reinforce the importance of evaluating SEO performance over quarters and years rather than drawing conclusions from a single month.
Competing for Search Visibility in Denver
The Denver search landscape is increasingly fragmented. A potential customer may encounter a business through traditional organic results, the Google Map Pack, paid search, branded searches or an AI-generated recommendation before ever visiting the company’s website.
That means SEO strategies increasingly need to account for visibility across multiple search surfaces rather than focusing on a single ranking.

Research Methodology
This report analyzes first-party performance data associated with FirestarterSEO.com across a 365-day period spanning June 2025 through June 2026.
The primary data sources used in the analysis were:
- Google Search Console: search impressions, clicks, query performance, click-through rates and average positions.
- Google Analytics 4: website sessions and user activity.
- CallRail: tracked inbound calls and source attribution.
External economic and environmental datasets were reviewed for contextual comparison, including Federal Reserve Economic Data and weather information. These external variables were used to examine correlations and timing, not to establish causation.
The study focuses on observed behavior within Firestarter SEO’s own search and analytics footprint. It is intended to provide insight into patterns visible within that dataset rather than estimate the entire Denver SEO market.
Study Limitations
As with any first-party digital marketing dataset, several limitations should be considered when interpreting the findings.
- The 3.8 million search impressions represent Firestarter SEO’s visibility in Google Search and should not be interpreted as the total number of Denver SEO searches.
- Search Console impressions are affected by rankings, query coverage, SERP features and the pages for which a website is eligible to appear.
- June 2026 represents a partial month and should not be compared directly with complete monthly periods.
- Call attribution is based on tracked last-touch or session-source data and may underrepresent assisted conversions involving multiple channels.
- Correlations between search activity and economic indicators do not establish a causal relationship.
- Unusual GA4 session activity identified during portions of the study period was not treated as evidence of changes in organic SEO demand without supporting search data.
